Keith, 75, of 715 E. 9th St., Bellwood, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1929 in Barree, a son of Melvin James and Lillian Marie (Carper) Keith. On June 14, 1952 in Tyrone he married Helen L. Warrender. She died April 19, 2004. Surviving are two sons, James W. and wife Debbie of Ivyland, PA, Robert G. and wife Diane of Atlanta, GA, two daughters, Ruth Marie Kirkpatrick and Judith Ann Campbell both of Tyrone, nine grandchildren, Jenna, Miles, Madeline, Bailey and Skylar Keith, Jill Richards, Barbara Snyder, Kathy Henderson and Robert Orr and seven great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family. Mr. Keith retired in 1968 from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant following 20 years service. He was a veteran of WWII, Korean War and the Vietnam War with service as a meteorologist with the U.S. Weather Service. Following his military career, he and his wife owned and operated a ceramics business in Grazierville for 11 years. He was a member of the Tyrone Elks, Howard Gardner American Legion, Anderson-Denny VFW and the Air Force Sergeant Association, Washington, D.C. Funeral services with veteran's honors will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Roy Garthwaite officiating. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Tyrone Daily Herald, May 18, 2004
