He had been a resident of Hollidaysburg for forty years. He was a cabinet maker by occupation and was employed at the McFarland furniture rooms for many years. About two weeks ago, he was stricken with paralysis at his boarding house at the county capital, and was removed to the almshouse. He was a veteran of the Civil War. The only surviving relatives are two brothers, James and Joseph, of Philadelphia. The funeral services were held in the Grand Army of the Republic post room, at Hollidaysburg Monday afternoon at 2, after which interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery at that town.
