Keller, 66, Sinking Valley, went peacefully to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2005, at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Hospital Campus, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 17, 1938, in Altoona, daughter of the late William W. and Mildred F. (Piper) McKillip. She married Ernest E. Keller Sr. in Los Angeles Nov. 22, 1956. Mrs. Keller was a member of Water Street Evangelical Church. She was a teacher at Sinking Valley Preschool for 24 years. Mrs. Keller attended Altoona High School through the 11th grade and was a 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School, Los Angeles. She had a strong faith, enjoyed working at church, helping others, mowing grass, the outdoors, gardening, art and walking. Surviving are her husband of 48 years; a daughter, Dona Kirk and husband, Lowell, of Duncansville; a son, Ernest Jr. "Bud" and wife, Karen; a grandson, Brandon; a sister, Dona Bardell of Altoona; and three brothers: James of Broomall, Theodore of Altoona and Robert in Virginia. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. by Pastor Bruce K. Boyles and Pastor Don Scandrol. Interment at Arch Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Sinking Valley Preschool or Water Street Evangelical Church.
