Kelley, 73, Box 287, RR 3, and a resident of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, for the past two years, died Saturday evening, March 23, 1996, at the manor, following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Port Matilda, the son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Warren) Kelley. He married Helen B. Hardy March 15, 1944, in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Kelley was a horologist (watchmaker) by trade and was a 1951 graduate of Flieshers Technical School, Hollidaysburg. He was a grounds maintenance worker at the Winchester National Cemetery, Winchester, Va., for many years, and retired from Conrail in 1977. Surviving are his wife, five sons: Samuel L. of Tyrone, Daniel L. of Philadelphia, Stanley D. (Joe) of Altoona, Calvin H. of Cresson and Steven C. of Sinking Valley; a sister, Mabel Witherite of Pine Grove Mills, a brother, Arthur of Port Matilda; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son. KELLEY - Services for Lewis E. Kelley of Box 287, Altoona RR 3, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, by the Rev. Michael Bequeath. Interment with military honors at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Sinking Valley. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone. Contributions in his memory may be offered to Epworth Manor, 951 Washington Ave., Tyrone, Pa. 16686. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Don; and sisters: Ethel Myers and Ruth Stiver.
