KENDIG Better known as "Shorty" Kendig, who attempted suicide by cutting his throat in the coal shed at the Leonard House on the morning of March 28, died at the Blair county home at 9:10 o'clock last night. He was removed from the hospital to that institution on April 3. He was aged about 45 years and had resided in this city for a number of years and at one time was a machinist in the employ of the company. The county authorities made an effort to locate his relatives in this city through the police but none could be found. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, April 9, 1907 LATE NEWS PARAGRAPHED.
