All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ RUTH FLECK KEPHART Ruth Fleck Kephart, 91, formerly of Warriors Mark and Tyrone died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 8:40 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital. She was born June 26, 1913 in Altoona, a daughter of Earl R. and Anna (Dickson) Fleck. She married Oscar S. Kephart on December 14, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland. He died January 14, 1997. Surviving are three sons, Earl S. and wife Dorothy of Mechanicsburg, David A. and wife Kay of Hollidaysburg, William B. of Fuoss Mills, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren including triplets of Dawn and William Kephart Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland and a sister Faye Tonkay of Tyrone. Mrs. Kephart was a 1931 graduate of Tyrone High School, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 388, Tyrone, AARP and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tyrone where she belonged to the choir and was one of the original members of the Speer Bible Class. She had been president of the Tyrone High School Band Mothers in the early 1950s and was employed at Bell Telephone as an operator from 1933-1957. Mrs. Kephart and her husband moved to Palmetto, Florida when he retired in 1978. Following his death in 1997, Ruth moved back in the area and lived with her son Bill. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. Interment will follow at Arch Springs Cemetery, Sinking Valley. Friends will be received from noon until the time of services.
