KERLIN Wife of John Kerlin, died at 3.45 Sunday morning at the family residence, 910 Sixth avenue, after but a few hours' illness. She had been in her usual health Saturday morning. The deceased was born near Harrisburg April 6, 1840, her maiden name being Koons. Her parents dying she was taken by relatives, when but 6 years of age, to Port Royal, Juniata county, where she grew to womanhood and wedded John Kerlin January 24, 1861. With her husband she came to Altoona in 1866. She was a faithful member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist church and a woman of fine Christian character. Surviving are her husband and these children: George K. of Buffalo, N.Y.; J. Wesley of Mobile, Ala.; Thomas B. of this city; Mary K., wife of G. W. Condrin of Altoona, and Cora Lee, wife of Dr. E. W. Lowden of Alexandria, Huntingdon county. The funeral services will be held at her late residence at 9.30 o'clock Thursday morning and interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
