MRS. MARY A. KETTL,

Widow of Michael M. Kettl, died at 8.30 o'clock last night at the home 
of a son, Robert Kettl of 107 Crawford avenue, of diabetes after a long 
illness.  She was born at Carrolltown on April 21, 1855, a daughter of 
Joseph and Ada Berringer, and had resided in Altoona for a number of 
years.  Her husband died seven years ago.  Surviving are the son, with 
whom she resided; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Kettl and Mrs. Barbara 
Grimme, both of the city; one brother, John Berringer of Ebensburg, 
twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Kettl was a 
member of St. Mark's Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary societies 
of the church.  The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with requiem 
high mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
