Keyes, 26 years, of the 16th United States Infantry, wounded at the battle of Shiloh, removed to Evansville, Indiana for surgical treatment, died on the 3rd. His body was brought back to Altoona, funeral services performed on Thursday of last week at the Catholic Church, the body being interred in the cemetery south of town. He was married to a daughter of Wm. Johnston, Esq. Wife and daughter survive him.
