Our Hollidaysburg correspondent furnishes the following obituary notice: "Mr. Patrick Keyes, a respected and industrious citizen of Hollidaysburg, died very suddenly, yesterday evening from an attack of heart disease. Mr. Keyes had been enjoying very good health for some time past and his death was an unexpected and severe blow to his family. Yesterday he went to his day's work as usual and did not complain of any illness or indisposition. He walked up town in the afternoon, and on returning home, about 4 o'clock, he went to the stable to feed his horse and see that it had the proper care for the night. This duty performed he went to the house and sat down and talked with Mrs. Keyes while waiting for his evening meal. He had been seated only a few minutes when he was seized with a spasm and fell to the floor, expiring in a few moments. This was about half- past 5 o'clock. Mr. Keyes was about 70 years of age, and had been a resident of Blair county for more than forty years, having come from Ireland to this country when quite a young man. He was a quiet, unassuming and industrious citizen, respected by all who knew him. Among his more intimate acquaintances, to whom his exemplary character and noble principles were more plainly manifest, he was held in the greatest veneration. A good husband and father, a conscientious Christian, and an upright citizen, he leaves a reputation which his children may be proud of. He leaves a wife and six children, viz: Ed. H. and John, of Altoona; Mrs. John Cully, of Newry, and Patrick H. and Johanna, of Hollidaysburg. Mr. Thomas Keyes, of Altoona, is an elder brother of the deceased. Mr. Keyes was a devoted member of the Catholic church. The funeral arrangements will be announced to- morrow. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, December 9, 1886, page 1 HOLLIDAYSBURG HINTS. The funerals of Mr. Patrick Keyes and William Schroeder, both of which took place at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, were largely attended.
