Mrs. Lydia Keyser, wife of Andrew Keyser, died at 11 o'clock on Friday night at the residence of David Bell, of Pleasant Valley, about a mile from this city, where, and with whom she had resided for the last ten years, her husband for that length of time, in consequence of blindness, having been an inmate of the soldiers' home in Dayton, Ohio. She was 81 years of age, for sixty-three of which she had been an exemplary member of the Lutheran church. Last fall she received a stroke of apoplexy from which she failed to fully recover, and her death was the result of another attack. During her illness she was carefully tended by Mrs. Bell who did all in her power to alleviate her sufferings. Mrs. Keyser was born in York, Pa., her maiden name being Lydia Kohler. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and she was buried in Oak Ridge cemetery. The religious services were conducted by the Rev. W. W. Criley, of this city.
