Died on Thursday Afternoon - Funeral on Saturday. On Thursday afternoon William Edgar Kimberling, one of Tyrone township's most prominent agriculturists, passed away at the Nason hospital, of peritonitis. Mr. Kimberling became ill about one week ago with appendicitis and after home remedies proved useless, he was taken to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon where his condition was considered most critical and almost hopeless from the start. An operation was performed, but peritonitis had set in and death resulted at 2.30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. William Edgar Kimberling was a son of Mrs. Matilda Kimberling, and was born at Elizabeth Furnace just thirty-eight years ago today. The past four years he had been living on the large farm near Tyrone Forge. He was a member of the First Lutheran church. January 25, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Laura Lindsey, of Tyrone, who with the following children survive to mourn a loving husband and father's death: Henry, Mary, William J., Frank and Wilbur. He is also survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Samuel, Tyrone; Edward, Charles and Mrs. Maud Shenefelt. Funeral services will be held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. H. Sherman. Interment in Grand View cemetery. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., Thursday, January 21, 1915
