All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ KIMMEL Harry Frank Kimmel, until recently a private attached to the motor mechanics regiment in training at Camp Hancock, Ga., died at the Altoona hospital yesterday evening, at 5.40 o'clock, of pneumonia, following influenza. He was admitted to the institution on Oct. 13. He was sent to camp in March this year, and was given an honorable discharge from the Georgia cantonment during the summer. He was born in New Paris, Bedford county, on April 3, 1890, the son of John O. and Catherine Kimmel, and resided in Altoona for several years, being employed in the Fourth street car shops. He was a member of the United Evangelical church I.O.O.F.; Camp No. 32, the P.O.S. of A., and the Pennsy relief. He was united in marriage in March, 1918, in this city to Miss Mary Wilson, who survives, together with the parents in New Paris and the following brothers and sisters: Sharon W. and Mrs. Jennie Seese, of New Paris; Emory of New Buena Vista, Pa., Mrs. Mary Butterbaugh and Mrs. Martha Small both of Johnstown, Arthur Sewell, now in training at San Antonio, Tex., and Lewis R., of this city. He formerly resided at 411 Eleventh street, to which place the remains have been removed. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, from the residence, with interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
