Kiner died at 12 o'clock noon yesterday at his rooms in the Hotel Richelieu after an illness of two weeks, due to hardening of the arteries. He was aged 67 years. He was employed as timekeeper in the freight shop of the Pennsy at Fourth street. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Kiner, three sons, J. M. Kiner of Poalinga, Cal., R. M. and S. W. Kiner, both of Santarita, N.M., and the following brothers and sisters, J. M. of Sister City, N.M., Dr. W. E. of Wilkinsburg; George, of Derry; Samuel B. and Mrs. F. W. Kiefaber, both of McVeytown. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Elks and Eagles and was a Presbyterian by faith. The body may be viewed this afternoon from 2 o'clock to 9 o'clock, also Sunday afternoon at the same time at the Stevens mortuary. Services will be held at 10 o'clock in the chapel. The remains will be taken to McVeytown on Monday morning on the 11:45 train, for interment. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, April 13, 1918
