Edgar King died at his home in Philadelphia and was buried on Sunday. He had been ill but a short time previous to his demise. The deceased at one time resided in Perry county and was married in New Bloomfield to Miss Mary Campbell. During the war of the rebellion he published the Fulton County Republican at McConnellsburg, afterward removing to Hollidaysburg, where he published the Blair County Whig. Later he moved the plant to Altoona and formed a partnership with James H. Irwin, and the paper was issued under the name of the Blair County Radical, Mr. King afterward retiring. He was elected a member of the legislature of 1878 from this county. Some time last summer he went to Philadelphia from Conneautville, O., which place he had made his home for several years. His wife and two daughters - Mrs. Ed. Custer and Miss Sue King - survive him. Morning Tribune, Friday, January 19, 1900
