King, a retired Pennsylvania Railroad conductor died Wednesday night from complications. He was a son of Edward (deceased) and Sarah Jane King of this place and was born in 1853, Ladingberg, Chester county, Pa. He had been a resident of this vicinity for 35 years. He was married in 1874 to Miss Malinda Wallsmith, who survives with the following children: Mrs. George Carson, Mrs. J. O. Barton, Mrs. W. E. Harper and Charles King of Tyrone; Mrs. H. G. McGill of Altoona; Mrs. F. A. Albertson of Glassboro, N.J. He also leaves his [m]other and one sister: Mrs. Anna Reynolds of Philadelphia. Deceased was a [m]ember of Columbia avenue Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Barto home on Woodland avenue in charge of Rev. John Beard, pastor of Columbia avenue Methodist Episcopal church. Interment in Grand View cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, October 25, 1918
