Died, at his residence, No. 1819 Fourth avenue, Altoona, Pa., on October 23, 1890, at 1 o'clock a.m., Mr. John George Klink, aged 65 years less one day. Mr. Klink was born on October 24, 1825, in Daefern, Wierttemberg, Germany. He emigrated to America in 1852 and resided at first one year in Lancaster, Pa., then one year in Shamokin, Pa., and the remainder of his life, 36 years, in Altoona. He took sick in the fall of 1889 and was a constant sufferer since that time. On November 25, 1854 he was married to Miss Anna Mary Schock, of Geiangellock, Baden, Germany, who with eight children survives him and mourns his departure. The children are: Philip, Mrs. Mary Beck, John, William, Mrs. Annie Reifsteck, Charles, Louise and Clara; one child, Albert has already died. Besides the widow and children he is also survived by one brother, Gottlob Klink, of Altoona, and three sisters: Mrs. Kiesel and Mrs. Blumenstock, of Illinois, and Mrs. Klink, in Germany. Two brothers died before him. The funeral service will be held by Rev. H. J. Lemcke, in St. James' German Evangelical Lutheran church, corner of Eighth avenue and Fourteenth street, on Saturday, October 26, 1890, at 2 o'clock p.m. The cortege will leave the house of mourning at 1.30 p.m., and proceed to the church. The interment will take place in Fairview cemetery. He was a member of Vandalia lodge No. 227, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and of Prince Arthur castle No. 138, Ancient Order Knights of the Mystic Chain.
