After being in a Philadelphia hospital under treatment for one week, Mr. Christian F. Kneiss, aged 21 years, of Tyrone, died early yesterday morning. The deceased was the son of F. F. Kneiss, master carpenter of the Tyrone division, Pennsylvania railroad. He was very popular. The body arrived at Tyrone on fast line last evening. Time of the funeral will be announced later. The Tribune is without further particulars, its letter from the Central City having gone astray. Morning Tribune, Friday, October 13, 1899 TYRONE TOPICS. Christian F. Kneiss, who died at the University hospital, Philadelphia, on Thursday last, where he had been taken some two weeks ago for treatment, was born in Tyrone March 18, 1877, and at death was aged 22 years, 6 months and 23 days. He is survived by his father, Fred A. Kneiss, and four sisters, viz: Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Perry Cupp, Mrs. W. C. Snyder and Mrs. Harry Snyder, all of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held at the late home, Lincoln avenue and Twenty-third street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. J. D. W. Deavor, Ph.D. Interment in Tyrone cemetery.
