Sudden Death of Mrs. Conrad Knepley.

  The wife of Mr. Conrad Knepley, who lives on Sixteenth street, near 
the Dry Gap road, was suddenly called to attend the funeral of her 
mother at Aqueduct, near Harrisburg, last Monday.  The aged lady died 
of apoplexy.  It seems that her daughter, Mrs. Knepley, had several 
strokes of the same disease, one eleven weeks ago, and one about three 
weeks since, and the sudden bereavement caused by the death of her 
parent, is supposed to have hastened the third and last one, which 
ended in death last night.  Mrs. Knepley was a consistent member of the 
United Brethren Church, was a kind and good neighbor.  A husband and 
three small children are left to mourn her early demise.  Her remains 
arrived on the fast line last evening, and will be interred from her 
late residence, when an at what hour we have not learned.

KNEPLEY - On the 28th inst., Mrs. Sarah, wife of Conrad Knepley, aged 
48 years, 1 month and 18 days.
  As already stated, Mrs. Knepley died of paralysis while attending the 
funeral of her mother at the Aqueduct, Perry county.  She was a good, 
kind mother, and was a member of the United Brethren Church for twenty-
eight years.  She was one of the first twelve who formed the Church in 
this city.
   "We have no mother now; she's gone
      To live in Heaven above;
    Dear mother, we shall ne'er forget
      They kindest, tenderest love.
   "God bless us children while we're here,
      That we, in Heaven with thee,
    May join thee in the angel band,
      From sin and sorrow free."
  Funeral from her late residence, on the Dry Gap Road and Sixteenth 
street, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
