Knisely, 71, of Claysburg RD was killed shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday when a grain elevator he was operating on his son Benjamin's farm collapsed in a heavy wind, crushing his face. He was born March 27, 1900, at Queen, a son of Lloyd and Sarah (Claar) Knisely, and was married to Lydia M. Walter. Surviving are his wife, nine children, Clarence K., Robert J. and C. Oliver of Claysburg RD, Mrs. Dorothy M. Rosin of Morton Grove, Ill., Mrs. Betty J. Black of Martinsburg, Mrs. Annabelle Weyant of Osterburg RD, Mrs. Barbara Miller of Woodbury and Benjamin and Mrs. Florence L. Glass of Clarksburg, Md.; 27 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother and two sisters, Paul of Queen, Mrs. Mary Mills of Imler RD and Mrs. Olive Klemick of Bluefield, W. Va. Mr. Knisely was retired in 1965 from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co., Cumberland, Md., after 23 years' service. He also operated a farm in the area. He served in the Army in World War I. Friends will be received in the Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and after 10 a.m. Sunday. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Friday, November 12, 1971
