She was widely known, highly esteemed and possessed a large circle of friends in the city and county. Mrs. Kocher was born at Neff’s Mills, Huntingdon county, on April 1, 1835, and was married to Henry Hocher, who died twenty-one years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and is survived by these children: Mrs. S. M. Cornelius, Harry J. and Miss Blauche Kocher, all of Altoona, and M. M., E. V. Kocher, Mrs. Chalmer Davis and Mrs. E. M. Davis, all of Warrior’s Mark. These brothers and sisters also survive: Wesley Thompson, of McAlevy’s Fort; Stewart Thompson, of East Liberty; Asbury Thompson, of Lilly, and Mrs. Esther Johns, of Altoona. Thirty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock the remains were taken to Warriors Mark for interment.
