KORMAN Mrs. Korman, 82, of 1119 21st Ave. died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 16, 1989, in Altoona Hospital emergency room, after an extended illness. Mrs. Korman was employed as a dishwasher at the former Sanker's, Gable's, McCrory's and Tom and Grace's restaurants. She was born Dec. 22, 1906, in Pitcairn, the daughter of Jeremiah G. and Annie Laura (Tipton) Reffner, and Jan. 1, 1927, married Edward B. Korman, who died April 9, 1971. Surviving are five children: Edward B. Jr. of Sharon and James E., Margaret Gebhart, Leslie E. and Gene B. Sr. of Altoona; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Effie Karle of Altoona. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata. KORMAN - Services for Ida J. Korman of 1119 21st Ave. will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by the Rev. Douglas M. Compton and Pastor J. Archie Strong. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Preceded in death by son, George Reffner in 1983, and daughter, Thelma Korman in 1984.
