Father of Altoona Woman Passes Away
(Special to Altoona Mirror) 
  BALTIMORE, Md., Aug. 9. - Funeral services were held here Friday for 
Wolf Kress, aged 76, retired business man, who died last Wednesday 
after a long illness.  He was the father of Mrs. Max Monarch of 
Altoona, Pa.
  Mr. Kress, who was born in Russia, came to Baltimore as a lad of 10 
and lived all of his life here.  He was a member of the Peth Tfila 
congregation of this city.
  Surviving are the following daughters: Mrs. B. Shapiro, Mrs. M. Toor, 
Mrs. M. Miller and Mrs. M. Homer, all of Baltimore, and Mrs. Monarch of 
Altoona.  There also are 11 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
