Krider, 89, of 9 Evergreen Road, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday evening, Dec. 27, 2003, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Duncansville, daughter of the late Aden and Helen (Dickson) Burns. She married Carl G. Krider Oct. 19, 1952, by the Rev. Edwin Clapper at First Lutheran Church, Altoona. Mrs. Krider was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville. She retired as a registered nurse supervisor in the maternity department of Altoona Hospital. She was a 1933 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a 1937 graduate of J. C. Blair Hospital Nursing Program. She served as a first lieutenant nurse in World War II in the U.S. Air Force. She enjoyed traveling and caring for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Hollidaysburg Chapter Order of Eastern Star 471 and Jobel Court. Surviving are her husband of 51 years; a son, Drew, and his wife, Tricia, of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Amy Fleck of Duncansville; and two grandchildren: Bridgett and Eric. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Jaime G. Olson. Interment at Alto- Reste Park. Memorials may be given to Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., December 29, 2003
