Mrs. Catherine Kuhn

At 5:55 o'clock last evening, a highly respected and esteemed resident 
of the city, died at her home, 730 Eleventh Ave., of complication of 
diseases after an illness of two months.  Deceased was a daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. John Zhea, deceased and was born at Chambersburg, December 
16, 1838.  On November 16, 1856 she was married at Gettysburg to 
Francis Kuhn and with him came to this city in 1867, and had resided 
here ever since.  During her long residence here she made numerous 
friends who will learn of her deach with sincere regret.  Se was an 
affectionate mother and devout Christian at the time of her death being 
a member of St. John's Catholic Church.  Her husband preceeded her to 
the grave on September 27, 1882.  She is survived by 6 sons, Charles, 
Vincent, Bernard, Edward T., Francis D. and Austin, all Altoona, also 
by one brother, John Zhea of Gettysburg and Mrs. John Hart of Altoona.  
The funeral will be held Monday Morning.  Mass to be celebrated in St. 
John's Church at 9 a.m. Internment St. John's Cemetery.
