Mrs. Lena Kurtz,

Wife of Bernard Kurtz, deceased, and one of the oldest residents of 
this city, died at her late residence, 1102 Thirteenth avenue, at 3:30 
this morning, of Bright's disease.  Mrs. Kurtz was born in Binsdorf, 
Germany, May 6, 1831, and would, therefore, have been 62 years of age 
had she lived until the 6th of May next.  She came to American some 
forty years ago and settled at once in this place, where her marriage 
to Bernard Kurtz took place about three years later.  No children 
survive, and she has one living sister, Mrs. Peter Schroetter, of Fifth 
avenue.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, but leaves 
many friends and acquaintances who will regret to learn of her death.

Funeral Notice.

  The funeral of Mrs. Bernard Kurtz, will take place tomorrow morning.  
The body will leave the house at 8:30 and proceed to St. Mary's church 
where services will be held at 9.  Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
