Kurtz, after intense suffering afflicted with cancer for a period of four years, the past five weeks being confined to her bed, died at the family home, 640 Park avenue, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. The deceased's maiden name was Susan Fidella Cochran. She was born at Honeybrooke, Chester county, 64 years ago. On the 4th day of March, 1866, she was married to John H. Kurtz, at McVeytown, Mifflin county, and has resided in Tyrone since the fall of 1870. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and one son - Elizabeth, John, Annie and Emma Kurtz, all at home. Two brothers and one sister also survive her - Joseph Cochran, of White Water, Kan.; John Cochran, of Eureka Springs, Ark.; and Sarah Elizabeth Cochran, of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held at her late home, 640 Park avenue, to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. Frank Howes, interment to follow in Tyrone cemetery.
