CHARLES L. KUSTENBAUDER 

  Mr. Charles L. Kustenbauder Sr., age 87, of 2996 Hundred Springs 
Road, Tyrone, died Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 4:54 a.m. at the Altoona 
Hospital. 
  He was born April 4, 1915, the son of Edgar and Laura Ella Clites 
Kustebauder and on April 4, 1936 at Cumberland, Md., was married to Ann 
Marie Lyons who survives.
  Also surviving are four sons, Charles Jr., and wife Patricia of 
Tyrone RD, Robert and wife Patricia of Lancaster SC., Richard and wife 
Maureen of Tyrone and Ronald of Tyrone RD. He is also survived by nine 
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and a sister Ardis Ellenberger 
of Warren Ohio. 
  He was preceded in death by a daughter Joann, a great-granddaughter 
Cindy, a brother Clarance Kustenbauder and a sister Jane Morrissey.
  Mr. Kustenbauder was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the 
Citizens Fire Company, Tyrone Sportsmen, Cartwright Hunting Club and 
the United Transportation Workers Union. He enjoyed camping, hunting 
and travel. He retired in 1975 as a Freight conductor with the Middle 
Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad with 34 years service.
  Funeral service for Charles L. Kustenbauder Sr. will be held Tuesday, 
April 1, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home with 
Rev. Norman Huff officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
  Friends may call the funeral home tonight from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 
from 10-11 a.m.
