FRANK KYLE An instructor in the Pennsylvania Industrial reformatory at Huntingdon for more than a quarter of a century, died Friday afternoon at 1.45 o'clock, at the J. C. Blair Memorial hospital from an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Kyle was born in Williamsburg 71 years ago, the son of Joseph and Mary Hoover Kyle, both deceased. He was educated at the Williamsburg academy. He entered the profession of teaching shortly after his graduation and followed this line of work all his life, becoming an instructor at the Huntingdon reformatory in 1892, a position he held until his death. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served with the Union armies as a member of Company B, 208th Pennsylvania infantry, and took part in many important engagements with that organization. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and for many years was active in Sunday school work. He was united in marriage on August 21, 1917, with Miss Theodosia Hewitt of Williamsburg, the ceremony being performed in Troy, N. Y. Mr. Kyle is survived by his wife, one brother, John M. Kyle of Duncansville, and two sisters, Mrs. George Wogan of Juniata and Mrs. Henry Detwiler of Fredericksburg. The body was brought to his home in Williamsburg, from where the funeral services were conducted. Interment in Williamsburg. Martinsburg Herald, Hand-written date of January 23, 1920
