Democrat and sentinel: (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1853-1866: April 18, 1855
In Altoona, March 29th, after a short illness, John Lilly, in the 22d year of his
age. He died after a short and painful illness which he bore with resignation. The
deceased was a son of Thomas D. Lilly, one of the oldest settlers, and most
respected citizens, of Washington township, in this county. He was a young man of
correct and industrious habits, and bade fair to become a useful member of society.
May he rest in peace.
