Funeral Arrangements. Last evening at 4.10 o'clock, Charles Frederick Lafferty died of appendicitis at his home, 1816 Seventh avenue. He had not been in the best of health since Sunday, July 23, but had been confined to his bed only since last Tuesday evening. He was the son of I. H. (deceased) and Mrs. Ellen Lafferty and was born in Harrisburg December 27, 1877, being, therefore, 21 years, 7 months and 3 days old at death. He has lived in Altoona for about sixteen years. August 6, 1896, he was married to Miss Mary Lemadue, who died on Easter Monday in 1897. Their only child died a week later, aged about 2 months. Besides his mother he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. David P. Butler, of Altoona; Mrs. John McCloskey, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Edward Darr, of Altoona; Miss Emma, at home; David E., of Homestead; Mrs. Roy Griffith, Mrs. Frank Shope and Robert C., of Altoona; Harry J., of Girard college, Philadelphia, and Nettie Pearl, at home. The deceased was a helper in the boiler shop of the Pennsylvania railroad company and belonged to the Pennsylvania railroad relief. He was a member of St. Luke's Protestant Episcopal church. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon. Services will be conducted in St. Luke's church at 2.30 p.m. after which the body will be buried in Oak Ridge cemetery.
