MRS. ADA M. LAIRD DIES IN BALTIMORE

  Mrs. Ada M. Laird, of 1015 East Fifth street, died at 5:30 o'clock 
Sunday evening, January 8, at Johns Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, Md. 
She was born in Sinking Valley, June 10, 1912, a daughter of William 
and Emma Nora McLeod Bousum, was married to Wilbur Laird at Cumberland, 
Md., in July, 1930.
  Mrs. Laird was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.  
  Surviving are her husband, a daughter and a son: Beverly Jean and 
John D. at home, a sister, Mrs. Elmer Coover of Tipton.
  Friends are being received at Russin funeral home, where funeral 
services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. 
Robert Hooper officiating.  Interment will be made in Logan Valley 
cemetery.
