MRS. ANNIE L. LAIRD.

  About 9 o'clock yesterday morning, Annie L., wife of W. C. Laird, 
died at her home in North Bellwood, of consumption.  She was born 
August 25, 1875, and was therefore aged 24 years, 1 month and 23 days.  
Mrs. Laird was the daughter of Thomas and Frances Figart, who, with 
their two remaining daughters and sons, survive her.  April 28, 1898, 
she was married to W. C. Laird, who after a little more than a year of 
wedded happiness, is left in a desolate home.  The deceased had since 
her childhood been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and by 
her life at home and among her friends had greatly endeared herself to 
all who knew her.  The funeral service will be held at her late home 
Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
