All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ LONG ILLNESS IS FATAL FOR HARDY LAMONT Robert Lamont, proprietor of the Venetian Gardens and one of the founders of the Altoona Video Corp., died at 7:20 a.m. today in the home of a nephew, William Santa Maria of 501 Wopsononock Ave., after a long illness. He was born in Windber, a son of Archangelo and Teresa (Buzzeli) Lamont, but had resided in Altoona from childhood. Surviving are a brother and sister, Daniel and Mrs. Anna Santa Maria of Altoona. Long interested in various sports activities of the area, particularly wrestling, which he introduced at the Jaffa Mosque, he was generally known as Hardy. As a young man he also played football with independent teams. He was a member of St. Therese's Catholic Church. The body was removed to the Santella Funeral Home.
