All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MILTON LANE Milton Lane, an aged colored resident of this city, who made his home at 2221 Ninth avenue, died at 7:06 o'clock yesterday morning at the Altoona hospital from hardening of the arteries and diseases incident to old age. He was born in 1832 and at the outbreak of the Civil war enlisted in Company H, Fifty-fourth regiment, Massachusetts voluntary infantry. He was honorably discharged from service at Mt. Pleasant, S.C., August 29, 1865. He had no relatives in this city, but is said to have a daughter living in Pittsburg. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, January 24, 1917 Funeral Notice. The funeral of Milton Lane, who died at the Altoona hospital on Tuesday morning, will be held from the African Methodist Episcopal Zion church, of which he was a member, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with services in charge of Rev.
