Martin Luther Lantz died at Mercy hospital yesterday morning at 4.30 o'clock, death being caused by pneumonia, from which he suffered but a few days. He made his home with his cousin, Robert F. Lantz, 102 Seventh avenue, Juniata. The deceased was a son of George D. and Elizabeth Lantz of Beaver Springs and was born at Belleville, Mifflin county, May 20, 1899. Besides his parents he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Foster Mitchell of California, and the following brothers: Max Lantz, a soldier in the regular army stationed in the state of Washington; Henry A. Lantz, a member of the One Hundred and Twelfth infantry at Camp Hancock, Ga.; Rev. Ray F. Lantz, Wisconsin, and John Lantz of Camden, N.J. He is also survived by two step-sisters, Mabel and May Lantz, Beaver Springs. He was a member of the Lutheran church and the Pennsylvania railroad relief. Since coming to Juniata he was employed as a machinist's hand. The body was prepared for burial by Roher & Mauk and will be taken to Beaver Springs on the 5.46 train this morning. The funeral will not be held until Saturday to permit his soldier brothers to reach Beaver Springs. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, April 16, 1918
