She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles, two sons, Keith, and Kevin, and a sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Gilliand [Gilliland] of Tyrone, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Juniata College, she taught both public and private school. Louise was a life-long Presbyterian and received Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership in both the United Presbyterian Church USA and the Presbyterian Church US. She was active in preservation and history and was a member of the Good Wife's River Chapter DAR (Connecticut), Wake County Historical Society, and the N.C. Presbyterian Historical Society. Louise was a dedicated volunteer in many community programs and especially in her White Memorial Presbyterian Church Home. A memorial service will be held at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 2 p.m. followed by visitation with the family.
