Lauver, 705 North Second Street, Bellwood, died at 12:50 a.m. today in Altoona Hospital after a brief illness. He was born November 3, 1903, at Bellwood, a son of Ammon and Mary (Benner) Lauver. He was married November 20, 1924, at Bellwood, to Elizabeth Lego. She died December 4, 1924. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Janet Allison and Mrs. Judy Lightner, of Bellwood, and Mrs. Norma Etters, of Taylor, Michigan; six grandchildren and a brother, Guy, of DuBois. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a 52-year member of the Bellwood Fire Company and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Bellwood. He retired in 1950 as a molder helper, after 22 years of service with the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, in charge of the Reverend Thomas Quickel. Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township, Bellwood.
