Our town was startled and shocked yesterday by the news of the death of Mrs. C. A. Lauver, wife of Esquire Lauver, which occurred at her home on Cambria street shortly after 10 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Lauver had not been in good health for several years, owing to lung trouble; but her last illness was very short, and many of her friends did not know of her illness till they heard of her death. Even her family did not realize that her end was so near until a few moments before it came. Mrs. Lauver was 58 years of age. She had lived in Bellwood for many years and was beloved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Methodist church, and lived, day by day, the religion she professed. She was quiet and unassuming and only her family and intimate friends knew her real worth. Besides her husband, five daughters survive her: Mrs. I. Moreland Walters, Mrs. Will Myers and Misses Clara, Lillian and Rena Lauver, all of Bellwood. A large circle of relatives and friends at her former home in Juniata county, will also mourn her death. The funeral service will be held at her home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which her remains will be laid to rest in Logan Valley cemetery.
