LOUISA LEAR Wife of Frank Lear of Robinson, Indiana county, died at 2.20 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of a son, Ernest Kauffman, 3300 Sixth avenue, after several months' illness. She was born in Altoona on Feb. 11, 1876, a daughter of John and Lea (Lehman) Kauffman. Surviving are her husband, one son and one daughter, Mrs. Nora Wertz and Ernest Kauffman of the city; three step-children, George and John Burgoon and Mrs. Nellie Garland, all of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and two sisters, Lewis and Robert Kauffman, Mrs. Scott Lockard and Mrs. Annie Clark, all of the city. Friends are being received at the Kauffman home. LEAR - Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa Lear of 3300 Sixth avenue will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in charge of Rev. R. Crawford of the Bell Avenue Baptist church. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. Friends are being received at the home of the son, Ernest Kauffman, 3300 Sixth avenue. Altoona Mirror, August 12, 1940
