MINNIE LEAR

Of 1007 6th Ave., formerly of Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly at 11:10 
p.m. yesterday, Jan. 31, 1971, in Altoona Hospital, where she was 
admitted earlier in the day. She was born at Queen on April 21, 1889, a 
daughter of Calvin and Catherine (Claar) Stiffler, and in 1909 married 
Herbert W. Lear, who died in 1946. Surviving are five children, Mrs. 
Marie Snoberger, with whom she resided, Clyde of Hollidaysburg, Robert 
of Mount Union, Sheldon of Lakemont and Mrs. Betty Jane Hartman of 
Cross Keys; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a sister, 
Mrs. Edna Burket of Claysburg. Friends will be received in the Haller 
Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg from 7 to 10 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 
10 p.m. tomorrow.
