BRIDGET LEE, One of the pioneer settlers of Altoona and mother of Peter Lee, the well known rhymster, died this morning shortly after 3 o’clock at her home, 218 Lexington avenue, of diseases incident to old age, after an illness extending over a period of about three years. The deceased was born in Ireland 87 years ago and came to America when but one year old. With her parents she came to Altoona when the city was first laid out. She was married to Peter Lee, Sr., who preceded her to the grave forty years ago. Five children survive, Peter Lee, Mrs. Mary E. Milton, Mrs. Helen Lockard, Mrs. Rose Wagner, all of this city, and Emma, at home. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and eighteen great- grandchildren. She was affiliated with St. Mark’s Catholic church. Being so long a member of the community in which she lived and of a loving and kind disposition she was endeared in the hearts of a large circle of friends and her demise will be felt with sorrow by many. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s church; interment in St. John’s cemetery.
