Mrs. Ethel Benson Leedom, wife of George C. Leedom, of 906 Penn street, died on Tuesday night at 9 o'clock at the home of her parents at Huntingdon. She was taken ill with grip two weeks ago and went to her parents' house to recuperate, and was getting along well, but several days ago took pneumonia. Mr. Leedom was summoned to his wife's bedside yesterday morning and was with her when she died. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Benson, of Huntingdon, and was born on November 10, 1892. She was married to Mr. Leedom at the home of her parents in Huntingdon on April 23, 1914, by Rev. G. S. Womer, and was a consistent member of the Hollidaysburg Methodist Episcopal church, and a good wife and mother, whose loss will be deeply felt by the bereaved husband as well as by all her other friends and relatives. She is survived by her husband, a young son, Robert, her parents, and these brothers and sisters: Ray and Warren, Leona and Margretta. Short funeral services will be held at her parents' home today, after which the body will be brought to Hollidaysburg and taken to the home of Mr. Leedom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Leedom, 435 Walnut street, where the services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Charles T. Dunning, her pastor. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday morning, March 8, 1917
