MISS CATHERINE LEIDY

  Last Tuesday evening at 5:30 o'clock, Miss Catherine Leidy, daughter 
of David and Sophia Leidy, deceased, died at the home of Mrs. Barbara
Hinkle, where she had made her home since her parents' death.  She is
survived by one sister and one brother, namely, Adam Leidy of Taylor
township and Mrs. Henry Detwiler of this place.  Death was caused by a
complication of diseases.  She was aged 55 years.  She spent her
girlhood days at home with her parents and took care of them until
their death.  She was of a very quiet disposition and was loved and
respected by all who knew her.  She was a member of the Church of the
Brethren and was a faithful devoted christian woman.  Funeral services
were conducted in the Baker's Summit church by Rev. Jacob Stayer and
Rev. John Miller.  Interment in Holsinger cemetery.
