MS. MATILDA M. LEIGHTY.

  Mrs. Matilda Leighty, widow of Samuel Leighty, died at her home, 
2615 Fifth avenue, at 8:45 o'clock Monday night, of heart trouble.  She 
had been ailing for the past ten days but was able to be about until 
she was suddenly seized with pains around the heart and passed away 
before a physician could be summoned.  Deceased was the daughter of 
George and Sarah Knee and was born at Duncansville, September 8, 1864.  
She is survived by three daughters - Mrs. Marie Horner and Misses Linda 
May and Esther, and by one brother, Robert Knee, of Duncansville.  She 
attended the Lutheran church.  Short funeral services will be held 
tomorrow morning at 9:15 at the house and the funeral cortege will 
proceed to Duncansville, where services will be held in the Lutheran 
church. Interment will be made at Newry.
