ARVILLA LEONARD Of Duncansville, R.D., died at the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, yesterday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock after a lengthy illness. She was born at Leamersville Nov. 6, 1889, the daughter of Brice and Elizabeth (Burns) Sell. She was married to Carl Leonard Aug. 13, 1914, at Erie. Survivors include her husband, five sons, Clair of Akron, O., Dick of Altoona, Ferd of Roaring Spring, Jay and Clyde, at home, and one daughter, Thelma, at home; one brother and one sister, Stephen Sell and Mrs. Conrad Powell of Altoona, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Leonard was educated in the Roaring Spring schools and was a member of the Leamersville Church of the Brethren. Friends are being received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. LEONARD - Funeral services for Mrs. Arvilla Leonard of Duncansville R.D. will be held Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Leamersville Church of the Brethren, in charge of the pastor, Rev. G.Q. Showalter. Interment will follow in the Carson Valley cemetery. Friends are being received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, October 24, 1947
