"Bob" Levy, 88, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on July 25, 2007. Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He faithfully proclaimed his Jesus as Lord and Savior to family and friends. He enjoyed baking and caretaking for his friends in Camarillo Springs community. Robert was born November 3, 1918 in Tyrone. He married Janet M. Levy in 1939. As a World War II veteran, he served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. in Pennsylvania before packing up his family of six and moving to the San Fernando Valley in 1956. He retired in 1980 from Flying Tiger Airlines as a lead mechanic after 24 years. He and his wife, Janet, lived briefly in Forrest Hill, Calif. before settling in the Camarillo Springs in 1999. Bob was a devoted Steelers and University of California, Los Angeles fan. He was affectionately known as "Pop" to his children and grandchildren and "Little PaPa" to his great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Janet of Camarillo Springs; sons: Duane Levy (wife Betty) of Newbury Park, Kent R. "Buzz" Levy (wife Patty) of Haiku, Maui, Hawaii and Darrell Levy (wife Brenda) of Cordova, Tenn.; daughters: Darlene Levy Smith of San Pedro, Calif., Leslie Ann Levy McWald (husband Ken) or Redondo Beach, Calif. and Sandy Levy of Redondo Beach, Calif.; grandchildren: Kelly, Candice, Todd, Dana, Jeff and Craig and 12 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 8 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Chapel of the Islands with Doug Posey of Living Oaks Community Church officiating. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
