"Judy" Lewis, 56, of 204 W. 10th St., Tyrone and formerly of Adamstown for many years, died at 10:10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 at the Altoona Hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1947 in Altoona, a daughter of Marion Samuel Lewis Sr., deceased, and Betty Garber. She was formerly married to Charles Soellner. She is survived by three children: Robert Soellner and wife Catherine of Adamstown, Cheryl Mengel and husband Ronald of Reinholds and Susan Sonnen and husband Jacob of Richland; seven grandchildren; her mother, Betty Lewis Hale of Tyrone; one brother and two sisters, Marion "Sam" Lewis Jr. and wife Cris of Tyrone, Shirley Anderson and husband Jim of Tyrone and Amy Estright and husband Tad of Brandenton Fla.; stepbrothers, Lynn Hale and wife Linda and Lane E. Hale, both of Altoona. Also, her companion, Robert Miles of Tyrone; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the East Cocalico Church of the Brethren in Reamstown. A graduate of Tyrone Area High School Class of 1965. She was employed at the Bollmen Hat. Co. in Adamstown for 15 years and recently at the Pennsylvania Avenue Subway Shop in Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, inc. Tyrone, with Pastor Jim Rhen of Reamstown officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Snyder Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Blair County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 1004 N.
