Lewis, wife of Robert Lewis, died at the family home at Jersey Shore at 6.30 o'clock Tuesday morning, after an illness of only two or three days. She was abed about 37 years. Deceased was the daughter of the late Henry Woomer who died at his home in Bald Eagle Valley a couple years ago. Her mother died about ten years ago. She was a native of Bald Eagle Valley. After marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lewis lived in East Tyrone a number of years. About four years ago they removed to Jersey Shore. Mr. Lewis and one daughter, Carrie, aged about ten years, survive. Surviving also are four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Joseph Woomer, Mrs. Taylor Copenhaver and Misses Jane and Henrietta and David Woomer, all living in Bald Eagle Valley, and Theodore Woomer who lives at Houtzdale. Deceased was a member of the M. E. church and a consistent Christian woman, and a kind and devoted wife and mother, and the separation will be a sever affliction to the bereaved husband and daughter. The funeral occurred at the Bald Eagle church at 12 yesterday, the services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. Johnson of Jersey Shore, and Rev. V. T. Rue, of the Columbia avenue M. E. church. Interment was made in Bald Eagle cemetery. Tyrone, Herald, Tyrone, Pa., May 9, 1895
