TYRONE TOPICS.

  Mrs. Maria Waite Lewis, wife of Nicholas Lewis, died at her home near 
Arch Spring, in Sinking Valley, Friday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, of 
pulmonary affection.  Deceased was born near Petersburg, Huntingdon 
county, April 3, 1826, and at death was aged 73 years, 9 months and 29 
days.  She was a member of the Reformed church of Sinking Valley.  Her 
parents, brothers and sisters preceded her to the other shore, her 
husband the only survivor.  Funeral services will be held in the 
Reformed church, near Arch Spring, this morning, to be conducted by 
Rev. F. A. Rupley, jr., of Alexandria.  The funeral cortege will leave 
her late home at 10 o'clock.  Interment in the cemetery adjoining the 
church.
